Top 10 Celebrity Wedding Dresses

It seems as though new celebrity wedding photos are being published in the glossies every week! With their deep wallets, access to all the top designers, their stylists and their own taste, one perhaps holds a higher standard for a celebrity wedding dress than for us mere mortals. However, very few celebrities end up wearing outfits that are breathtaking, unique, unexpected, and flattering all at once. Below are the top styles that pass our test, with flying colors.

10. Kate Middleton

We all had some seriously high expectations for the Dutchess of Cambridge, and she did not dissapoint! The shape of the gown is so regal, and the lace bodice and sleeves add a beautiful touch of softness and romance, and the deep v in the front balances out the coverage offered by the rest of the gown perfectly. We love how she didn't succumb to the temptation to bling everything out and instead kept it understated and supremely elegant. Bravo, Dutchess.

9. Megan Fox

Megan is such a foxy little bombshell, we kind of expected her to do something a little more sizzling on her wedding day. That would have been great, but we were so nicely surprised by this effortless and easy look that we were just blown away! The simplicity of the dress combined with the wispy fabric and that veil make for the ultimate beach wedding ensemble. No jewelry, no shoes, simple white floral bouquet, this is a beach wedding done right! Brides who are fearful of the combo of veils and wind, take note how beautiful this photo is! You can't really tell where the gown ends and the veil begins, and we think that is just magic! Love this look? You can achieve a similar effect with our Sarah Seven collection!

8. Grace Kelly

No list would be complete without this ensemble. The lace, the buttons, the cumberbun, the full skirt, the bow in the back, the high collar- it is simultaneously high fashion, regal, and elegant. And again, she went easy on the bling in order to allow the gown (and herself!) to shine. This dress was a game changer- it informed the entire bridal and fashion industry, and continues to influence many designers today. Just refer back to Kate Middleton's dress to see the influence in action!

7. Ellen Degeneris and Portia De Rossi

Leave it to Portia to stun us with such an original and beautiful dress. Here she is wearing a blush tulle ballgown skirt, a good 4 years before blush became all the rage in bridal. And still, to this day, we have not seen anyone else wear a vest-inspired bodice, much less pull it off with the ease and confidence that Portia exudes in her wedding photos. She is a true trailblazer! And, let's not forget about Ellen. We LOVE that Ellen stayed true to herself and her personal style and did a pant suit, and we adore the light fabrics incorporated into her suit, including the sweet skinny scarf. Two thumbs up ladies, and congratulations on six years! Are you wanting a blush dress yourself? Check out Wildflower Bridal's blush dress selection on our Pinterest board!

6. Keira Knightley

Leave it to this fashion darling to embody the epitome of cool on her wedding day. We're obsesssed with her frothy tulle choice and how she accessorized it with a pendant necklace, quilted (we assume Chanel) jacket, and those sunglasses! She and her new hubby look like 2 cool cats who just stepped off the set of some 1960s spy movie! Do you think you want a short dress?
